Sodium Cyanide
Sodium cyanide, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaCN, is a white crystalline powder, easy to deliquate, with a faint smell of bitter almonds, and highly toxic. It can be poisoned to death by contact with skin wounds, inhalation or swallowing a small amount. Easily soluble in water, easy hydrolysis to hydrogen cyanide, aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, used in basic chemical synthesis, electroplating, metallurgy and organic synthesis medicine, pesticides and metal treatment as a complexing agent, masking agent.
